Faults This Kit Helps Resolve
| Paper not feeding from the cassetteThe printer sounds like it is trying to pick up paper but nothing enters the feed path. The most common cause is a worn pickup roller that has lost its grip on the paper stack. | Multiple sheets feeding at onceTwo or more pages feed together, causing a jam or double-printed pages. The separation pad is designed to prevent this — when worn or glazed, it no longer holds back the second sheet. |
| Recurring jams in the same locationIf paper jams are happening consistently at the same point in the feed path, worn rollers or a glazed separation pad are almost always the cause. Paper jams can also be caused by sensors, paper path assemblies, duplex units and fuser assemblies. This kit addresses worn cassette pickup and separation components only.

Install Notes
- Power off and unplug the printer, then pull the paper cassette right out.
- Release the pickup roller assembly from its shaft above the cassette opening.
- Fit the new assembly — check it is fully seated and the correct way round.
- Lift the old separation pad out of the cassette and clip the new one into place.
- Clean the adjacent feed surfaces with an isopropyl wipe if they are contaminated with paper dust.
- Refit the cassette and run 10–20 test prints to confirm stable feeding.
