Is LR2232001 the same as LY6754001?
Yes — LY6754001 is the previous part number for the same fuser unit. Brother updated the reference to LR2232001. If your printer manual or parts list shows LY6754001, this is the correct replacement.
Will this fuser fit my Brother HL-2130 or HL-2270DW?
No — the LR2232001 is for the Brother HL-3 / MFC-9 colour laser series only. The HL-2 series mono printers require a different fuser (LY3704001). If you are unsure which fuser your printer needs, please contact us and we will confirm the correct part.
What does refurbished mean for this fuser unit?
Each fuser is professionally inspected by our team, refurbished where required, tested, and verified working before despatch. It is not simply pulled from a scrapped machine. The 6-month warranty backs this up.
Do I need to reset the fuser counter after fitting?
Yes. After fitting a replacement fuser on HL-3 and MFC-9 series printers, the fuser counter needs to be reset via the printer menu. If you're unsure how to do this, our GenieCare™ team can walk you through it step by step.
Should I update my printer firmware before fitting a new fuser?
It is worth checking. Some earlier firmware versions on the HL-3140CW and related models had a known issue with fuser temperature control during idle, which could cause premature fuser wear. Updating to the latest firmware from the Brother website before fitting your replacement fuser is good practice and can extend its working life.
What toner does my printer use?
The Brother HL-3 and MFC-9 series models listed above use TN-241 (standard yield) and TN-245 (high yield colour) toner in the UK. You can order compatible or genuine toner through Printer Genie — ordering toner from us also keeps your GenieCare™ Expert Support active.
What if the fuser doesn't resolve my print fault?
