Frequently Asked Questions

Will this toner damage my printer or void my warranty?

No. UK/EU law means using a compatible cartridge can't void your manufacturer warranty under normal use. Our toners are made in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities and built to meet the original manufacturer's specifications, so the risk this protects you against is minimal in the first place.

My printer doesn't recognise a new cartridge — what do I do?

Some printers show a "non-genuine cartridge" message when a compatible toner is fitted — this is informational and doesn't stop printing on most models. If yours refuses to print, GenieCare™ Expert Support can help you by email with the cartridge settings.

Can I buy just one colour instead of the full set?

Yes — we list each colour individually as well as this set. The set is the better value when you need the full CMYK change or want spares on hand; if you only need one colour, search our individual HP 201A cartridge listing for that colour. Not sure which you need? Contact us and we'll help.

How many pages will this set print?

The set is rated at approximately 1,500 pages for the black cartridge and 1,400 pages for each colour, at the industry-standard 5% page coverage (ISO/IEC 19798). Pages with heavier coverage — graphics or photos — use more toner and reduce the count. This is normal and not a fault.
