Installation Notes
Important — fuser units get very hot during normal operation. Power off the printer and allow the fuser to cool for at least 30 minutes before handling. Do not touch the fuser roller surface.
- Power off and unplug the printer. Allow at least 30 minutes to cool.
- Open the rear access panel — on the M601 / M602 / M603 the fuser is accessed from the rear of the printer.
- Rotate the two blue locking levers and slide the old fuser straight out.
- Slide the new fuser unit in until it is fully seated. Rotate the locking levers back to secure.
- Close the rear panel, reconnect power, and power on the printer.
- Reset the fuser counter via the printer's service menu — the printer will continue to display a fuser warning until this is done. Contact GenieCare™ Expert Support if you need guidance on the reset procedure.
- Run 5–10 test pages to confirm the fuser is seating correctly and toner is bonding cleanly.
