Paper not feeding from Tray 2If the printer sounds like it is trying to pick up paper from Tray 2 but the page fails to enter the feed path — or the printer reports a jam immediately — the Tray 2 pickup roller (RM1-6035) is the first component to check. Installation Notes
Power off the printer and disconnect from the mains before accessing internal components.
- Power off the printer and disconnect from the mains.
- Remove Tray 2 fully from the printer and set aside.
- Access the roller assembly inside the tray cavity — the pickup roller (RM1-6035) is mounted on the roller shaft above the tray opening.
- Release the pickup roller by pressing the locking tabs and sliding it from the shaft. Note the orientation before removing.
- Fit the new pickup roller in the same orientation and press until the tabs click into place.
- Locate the separation roller (RM1-6010) at the front of the tray cavity. Release by pressing the retention tabs and sliding out.
- Fit the new separation roller and confirm it is seated securely.
- Clean adjacent feed surfaces and the tray guides with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol if contaminated.
- Refit Tray 2 and run 10–20 test prints to confirm stable feeding.
