Brother DCP-7060D Printing Crooked / Paper Skew – Feed Fix

Brother DCP-7060D Printing Crooked, or Paper Skewing as It Feeds?

When pages come out of the DCP-7060D crooked or at an angle, the pickup roller has worn unevenly and is no longer pulling each sheet in straight. One side grips more than the other, so the sheet enters skewed and the print lands at an angle across the page.

What’s happening inside

The pickup roller should grip the sheet evenly across its width and pull it in square. As the rubber wears — often more on one side — the grip becomes uneven, so the sheet is dragged in at an angle and skews. A glazed separation pad adds double-feeds and jams, and a slipped feeder cam lever (part LY2579001) brings on the “No Paper” error. New feed parts pull the sheet in straight again.

Common signs on the DCP-7060D

  • Prints and copies come out crooked or at an angle
  • Text runs off one edge of the page
  • The skew gets worse over a longer run
  • Occasional double-feeds, jams, or “No Paper” with a full tray

The fix

Replacing the worn pickup roller straightens the feed. Our Paper Feed Repair Kit fits the DCP-7060D and includes the pickup roller, paper feed roller, separation pad and feeder cam lever in one box, with a printed step-by-step fitting guide. If it’s only the “No Paper” fault, the LY2579001 feeder cam lever is available on its own.

Do it yourself. Fit the kit — it straightens the feed and clears the misfeeds and “No Paper” error together. Fitting is rated Moderate: the pad and rollers clip in from the tray opening, and the cam lever is easiest with the side panel off. A printed guide is included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my DCP-7060D printing crooked?

The pickup roller has worn unevenly, so it grips one side of the sheet more than the other and drags it in at an angle. The print then lands skewed. A new pickup roller pulls the sheet in square again.

Is skew a feed-roller fault or something else on the DCP-7060D?

Persistent skew that gets worse over a run is almost always the worn pickup roller. Fitting the Paper Feed Repair Kit (pickup roller, feed roller, separation pad and cam lever LY2579001) restores straight, single-sheet feeding. It’s a Moderate fit with a printed guide.
