Brother HL-2280DW Not Feeding Paper to Print or Copy?

When the HL-2280DW won’t pull paper — a copy scans but nothing prints, or it shows “No Paper” with a full tray — the tray feed parts are worn. The same rollers feed every print and every copy on this all-in-one, so when they lose grip the whole machine stops pulling paper.

What’s happening inside

Prints and copies both pull paper from the same tray using the pickup roller, with the separation pad keeping the sheets underneath back. As the roller glazes it stops gripping, so nothing feeds — you hear the copy scan but no page comes out. A worn pad adds double-feeds, and a slipped feeder cam lever (part LY2579001) makes the printer report “No Paper” even with a full tray.

The fix
