Printer Repair Guides – Paper Jams, Error Codes & Fixes
Your printer is jamming, and someone has quoted you for a new one. Before you spend hundreds, it is worth knowing that the overwhelming majority of paper jams are caused by three rubber parts that cost a few pounds and wear out on a predictable schedule. Not a broken printer. Worn rollers.
These guides are written from what we see on the bench every week. Each one covers a specific model: where the jam actually starts, which part has failed, how to change it yourself, and what it costs. No sign-up, no diagnostic fee.

Not sure which part you need?
Most jams trace back to one of these three:
- Pick-up roller — the printer sounds like it is trying but nothing feeds, or it takes several attempts to grab a sheet. The rubber has glazed over.
- Separation pad or roller — the printer pulls two or three sheets at once. The pad has worn smooth and stopped holding the stack back.
- Fuser — jams happen at the exit, or the print smudges when you rub it. The film sleeve or pressure roller has gone.
Our paper jam repair kits bundle the right parts for your exact model with fitting instructions, and our JamFix™ kits include support if you get stuck partway through.
Would rather someone else did it?
Fair enough — not everyone wants to take the side panel off a working machine. We offer remote diagnostics to confirm the fault before you buy a part, and on-site repair and servicing if you would prefer an engineer.
